The Egoscue Foundation
The Egoscue Foundation is committed to providing the resources necessary to
deliver research and education in the fields of physical health, self-care,
functional independence and nutrition. Since, May 2008, the Egoscue
Foundation’s Patch Project Initiative has donated 31 Patch Indoor/Outdoor
Obstacle Courses nationally in an effort to reduce countrywide childhood
obesity statistics by delivering a fun fitness tool to get the children of our
nation excited about remaining active and physically fit.

The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation
The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, a CEO-led organization, is a national, multi-year effort designed to help reduce obesity–especially childhood obesity–by 2015. It’s a first-of-its kind coalition that brings together more than 95 retailers, food and beverage manufacturers, restaurants, sporting goods and insurance companies, trade associations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation promotes ways to help people achieve a healthy weight through energy balance–calories in and calories out. It focuses on three critical areas–the marketplace, the workplace and schools.
Alliance for a Healthier Generation
The American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation joined forces in May of 2005 to create a healthier generation by addressing one of the nation's leading public health threats -- childhood obesity. Along with our co-leader Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, the Alliance works to positively affect the places that can make a difference to a child's health: homes, schools, restaurants, doctor's offices and communities.
Punk Rope
Founded in 2004 by personal trainer, Tim Haft, Punk Rope
is the most popular, jump roping-based fitness class in
the U.S. Punk Rope wrote the physical activity curriculum
for The Afterschool Corporation's Building Healthy Communities
program and created the training curriculumfor the Food Bank's S.H.A.K.E. program.
In 2009, Punk Rope launched Hopping for Health, an engaging and fun fitness program for children in grades K-12. Hopping for Health helps enertize PE classes, afterschool programs and recess with a combination of rope jumping and high intensity, cooperative games.

ING Run for Something Better
Childhood obesity has become a serious health concern across the nation. ING Run For Something Better is tackling the issue by helping kids become fit through free, school-based running fitness programs. To make these school programs possible, ING Run For Something Better works with community partners and provides much needed running grants through a partnership with the National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) around the country. The mission of the nonprofit program, ING Run for Something Better, is to prevent obesity in children by making fitness opportunities available in schools.
