Congratulations on becoming part of the GetSweaty family. We know the health and well-being of your children is important to you. Daily physical activity is a key component of a healthy lifestyle. GetSweaty offers a simple, free opportunity for your children to get physical activity in a fun-and safe-environment.

GetSweaty provides:

• Workouts designed specifically for children by certified professionals
• They are fun, innovative and change daily so your child won’t get bored
• Incentives for working out via a rich bonus point system. Points are redeemable for great prizes.
• Kid-friendly tips on healthy snacking
• Answer to kids’ questions about diet and exercise

GetSweaty is free. Even the equipment we use can be found or made from simple household objects.

There is a lot of great information on the site for you, too. Please check back often as we are always adding new tips and ideas. Our goal is to provide you with information and tips that are easy to understand and implement. We have also provided you with a list of resources that may be helpful.
 

The internet and your child’s safety

GetSweaty takes full advantage of the internet to bring valuable, up-to-date information and a great experience for your children. We do this with the utmost concern for your privacy and the online safety of your children. We seek to comply with the Childrens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not collect or save identifiable personal information from children under 13.

Further, we do not distribute or sell any information we collect from older children.

Safety features include:

• Your child is identified on the site by a username only –not by their real name or photo. We use avatars. No photos are ever requested or posted.
• Monitoring of blogs and forums for potentially inappropriate posts which are removed.
• Prizes will not be sent to children under 13 without parental permission.
• Please review our Privacy Policy and become familiar with available information about internet monitoring to further insure your child’s safety.

We also offer free teacher information and usage in schools with the additional benefit of cash for school supplies based on usage.  If your child’s class isn’t currently utilizing GetSweaty, please bring it to the attention of his or her teacher or school.
